Lights and Drops

Day 263/366: Rainy Wednesday Night
It was raining hard and our pants were soaking wet! But the rain didn't ruin everything. It's still the perfect Wednesday night as always.

Rain and Everything In Between

Day 217/366: Gloomy
The weather's been bipolar, but mostly gloomy these past few days. Having a rainy weather is cool  (sometimes) 'cause it makes you appreciate your bed even more, but I do wish all these raining and floods will end soon.

Constructions Everywhere

Day 144/366: Construction
I used to have a good view of DLSU and Manila Bay from my window. This gloomy building replaced the magnificent view that I once had.

P.S. There are constructions everywhere near our school!

Cycle of Life

Day 51/366: The Tree

Time can bring a lot of changes - changes which are inevitable, no matter how much we like it or not. Flowers may lose their petals through time. Leaves may loose their color and eventually turn dry and brittle. Trees may be in full bloom today, yet may grow bald the next day. But there's no use in escaping from these changes because this is reality. For every single thing that we lose, another blessing springs out from within - just like the new leaves struggling to come out of the dry branches of a tree which we once thought of being lifeless and useless.

Back to Basics

Day 18/366: Sliding Ruler

Just like how the body is made up of cells as the basic structural unit of life, every complicated thing, be it abstract or not, starts from a simple thing. Take for example in engineering - Before you actually learn how to solve differential equations or simplify block diagrams of control systems, you must first familiarize yourself with the basic operations and also deal with all sorts of fractions. Before you could program different codes, you should learn to understand how a computer thinks first. And before you could actually design a machine, you must first learn the basics of measurements and control of drawings.

As we progress, we encounter a bunch of theories and principles, but it's good to go back to the basics once in a while to appreciate how far we've gone in terms of the knowledge that we've gained - And that's what makes learning fun. ☺
