Wake Her Up

Day 213/366: Reminder
Last night, I told my brother to make sure that I'm already up before he leaves for school the following day. Surprisingly, he remembered to wake me up which is a good thing 'cause he usually forgets about my reminders and stuff. When I went to the kitchen, I laughed upon seeing this note. No matter how annoying he can get sometimes, he's still my little brother who used to chase me around the garage when we were still kids.

Weather, Stop Ranting

Day 212/366: Raindrops
Oh c'mon weather, today's not really the right timing for your ranting.

Pino Doodles on the Wall

Day 212/366: Creative Doodles
It was a rainy night and there's nothing more comforting than dining in a cozy place where you can feel at home at once. It's hard to spot a place in an unfamiliar area (plus the fact that it was already dark and raining). After making a U-turn and turning right to one street, luck found us. Enzo and I finally arrived in Pino Kitchen Studio and once we got inside, these doodles effortlessly grabbed my attention.

Find Ways to Make Something Work

Day 208/366: Sparks
One of life's simplest rules: Make the most of what's there. We need to make last minute adjustments in our gear mechanism so we had to come up with something out of what's available. Few more days until the reliability run!

More Printing

Day 207/366: 3D Printing
We're down to less than a week before our reliability run and the 3D printing still goes on and on.

Korean Food Night

Day 206/366: Appetizers
I'm an openly huge fan of Japanese food, but tonight, I had a little twist of food choice and tried Korea Garden along Jupiter with Enzo. It's just the second Korean restaurant that I have been to (Ye Dang Restaurant being the first). So far, Korean cuisine hasn't disappointed me. I will definitely be trying more Korean restaurants around Manila! Who knows, I might actually turn into a Korean food lover sooner than I expected?

Day 205/366: Trial Prototypes

Handy Hammer Indeed

Day 204/366: USB
A pocket-sized hammer? Well, not really. It's actually a USB! My dad got it for free after his "shopping spree" in Ace Hardware.

Triple Decker Surprise

Day 203/366: The Birthday Girl
A triple decker cheesecake from The Crukitchen for my sister-slash-mom who doesn't look like a 47-year old woman! She'll obviously be flattered when she reads this. Haha!

The Flaming Lamborghini

Day 199/366: Flaming Lamborghini
Tonight was one of those random weekday nights when my blockmates and I would eat out for dinner and end up somewhere to grab a few drinks. After stuffing our tummies with food, we headed towards Rue Bourbon for an exclusive treat from Anica! She ordered the Flaming Lamborghini shot, good for three people, which she shared with Chico and Kate. Fun night! Talk about randomness!

You Could Never Go Wrong with Pizza

Day 198/366: Anica's Treat
There are two boxes that can be spotted on the table which seemed to be out of place in the busy laboratory-turned-into-thesis-room. The place was instantly enveloped with the appetizing smell of pizza upon the opening of the first box. Almost everyone in the room was eating a slice or two and one person's accountable for this mini feast - Happy happy birthday Anica! Thanks for the treat!

Battle Between Two

Day 197/366: Books
There's always this battle between what I need to do and what I like to do! Recently, I've found myself reconnecting to the "book world" again and felt like reviving those good old bookworm days of mine. So many books, so little time! I'm drowning on the long list of books that I'm itching to read.

Lugang Café

Day 196/366: Lugang Café
I rarely have Chinese food cravings but when I do, I find myself smiling like a kid who's enjoying every second spent inside a Chinese restaurant as if it were a toy kingdom. It's actually my second time in Lugang Café and still, it hasn't failed to surprise me. One recommendable dish that Enzo and I ordered is the chicken topped with scallion and ginger oil. I'll give it a rating of five shining stars!

Noel's BBQ

Day 195/366: Grilled!
You are definitely not from La Salle -Taft if you haven't tried or even just heard about Noel's famous barbecue! It's a carinderia type of place, just a short walk passed the Andrew building. What makes it a hit is that it offers a very affordable price set for students who want a full and satisfying meal without splurging too much money on food. If you're on a tight budget, a P50 could do wonders: 4 pcs. of barbecue (P7 each piece) + 1 cup of rice (P8) + 1 bottle of softdrink (P12)!

Jalapeño Addiction

Day 190/366: Cheetos Jalapeño
Aside from Pringles, Cheetos has this ultimate charm effect on me that makes me want to go "once you pop, you can't stop" especially when it's Jalapeño-flavored!

Ain't No Need to Go Outside

Day 185/366: Raindrops
"Oh can't you see that it's just raining? Ain't no need to go outside."
The gloomy weather makes me want so sing some lines from one of my favorite Jack Johnson songs.
Follow the link to get the feel of the song: Jack Johnson - Banana Pancakes

I Caught a Fish

Day 183/366: Self-Portrait
For our Sunday dinner, Enzo and I dined in at Fish & Co. While waiting for our food, we goofed around a little bit and took some shots with this little wooden fish placemat. Haha!
